Caris was concerned about the need for hand sanitizer to keep hands clean, so she bought the needed ingredients and began making homemade hand sanitizer and giving it to those in need. Since Caris Cares is a subsidiary of Wear It Well, a nonprofit organization that serves men, women and children, Caris decided to sell her products for $5 each, donating the profit to Wear It Well to continue buying products to make more hand sanitizer to give to front line workers and others..
